Introduced to field hockey by his elementary physical education teacher, Grassi joined a school team that competed in the Cal Cup U-12 Mixed Division every year. The rest was history. He has since competed in events such events as Pan American Championships and International Easter Tournament in Valkenswaard, Holland.
Martinez made his debut with the U.S. Men’s National Team at World League Round I in Chula Vista, Calif. in November 2012, recording the first goal his career against Guatemala. When Martinez isn’t busy representing his country, he is fully dedicated to building the sport in his region through coaching numerous programs
Barminski took to field hockey in second grade when the sport was introduced to him in an after-school program. With the encouragement and enthusiasm of his mother, a former player herself, Barminski competed in Cal Cup and was instantly hooked.
Nico is a 15 year hockey player, starting first played in West End Primary School in Kimberly, South Africa. As a U16 player, Nico played for the U16 South African Provincial Team and for the Northern Cape Province teams. Additionally, he’s played for his province from age 14-21, and qualified to play for the Northern Cape South African Men’s Team at age 19. In the US, Nico played for the ASU Sun Devils Mixed teams (placing 1st), the Phoenix Scorpions (placing 1st in mens division), San Jose Khalsa (placing 1st in Supers division), San Diego Field Hockey Association, and L.A. Surfers.
Alberto began playing field hockey in Spain at the age of six. In 2012, he to Dallas Texas where he continued playing hockey with local clubs as well as traveling to Los Angeles every month to play hockey in Moorpark California. In 2017, he began studying in San Diego, as well as coaching and playing field hockey. Currently, he is part of the USA U-20 national team and training with the Men’s National Team.
